What gets exported
Tool Packer converts the primary image locally. Motion from a Live Photo, additional HEIF images, depth data, and source metadata are not included in the downloaded copy.

PNG can be substantially larger and does not restore source data omitted by decoding.
Know before you start
Common questions
Yes. The HEIC decoder, PNG encoder, preview, and download all run in this browser without sending the file to Tool Packer.
No. PNG avoids another lossy encode, but it only stores the pixels the HEIC decoder provides and cannot restore discarded or unsupported source information.
PNG uses lossless compression, which is usually less compact than HEIC for photographs.
Inputs and results are processed locally in this browser and are never uploaded.
