What happens to transparent PNG pixels?

JPG does not support transparency, so transparent and semi-transparent pixels are composited onto your selected background color.

Is the PNG uploaded?

Will the JPG look exactly like the PNG?

Not always. JPG uses lossy compression and cannot preserve transparency, so fine detail and transparent areas can change.
